### **Job Description** ## Overview Manage and coordinate all technical, operational, and maintenance activities within the rail depot to ensure availability and reliability of rolling stock and depot infrastructure. ## Your role * Manage all technical and operational activities within the rail depot including stabling, maintenance facilities, wash plants, fuelling systems, and depot infrastructure. * Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for rolling stock, depot equipment, and building services. * Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure maximum rolling stock availability in alignment with operational requirements. * Manage and oversee depot contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations. * Liaise with rolling stock, operations, facilities management, and systems engineering teams to ensure depot operational readiness. * Monitor depot Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including fleet availability, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and maintenance turnaround times. * Conduct depot safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions to address identified hazards. * Oversee testing and commissioning activities for new rolling stock deliveries and depot equipment installations. * Manage interface coordination between depot civil works and rail systems (signalling, traction power, telecoms). * Prepare and manage the depot maintenance budget, tracking expenditure and identifying cost optimisation opportunities. * Develop and maintain depot operational procedures, maintenance instructions, and safety management documentation. Key Competencies * Strong knowledge of rolling stock maintenance practices and depot operations. * Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS). * Understanding of HSE regulations and safe systems of work in depot environments. * Familiarity with RAMS p
