Full Job Description
Amazon is seeking an experienced business-oriented Deployment Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale and highly complex logistic process automation and storage initiatives for the continued expansion of our fulfilment network. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with automation deployments combined with a strong technical problem-solving ability – often occurring across multiple sites and technologies. The role requires a holistic view of all aspects of an Amazon Warehouse (Fulfilment Centre, Inbound Cross-Dock, Sortation Centre or Distribution Centre) while focusing on its automation technologies and storage solutions. This person will be responsible for evaluating and delivering state-of-the-art material handling systems and robotic innovations while coordinating internal teams and external contractors in order to effectively support the launching of new automated buildings and expansions in existing sites. Amazon’s culture encourages an entrepreneurial approach and expects engineers and managers alike to take a high level of ownership in solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment. The role could be based in London, Madrid, Barcelona or Vercelli with ~50% travel across Europe during peak deployment season, with occasional international travel. The applicable collective agreement for this role is CCNL Telecomunicazioni. The position is classified at level C7 or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience. The minimum gross annual base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated. Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.
