Must Have
Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, Extensive industry related experience, In-depth knowledge of UPS, In-depth knowledge of backup generator systems, In-depth knowledge of generic mechanical-room infrastructure, Proficient with IT programs such as Microsoft Office products
Nice to Have
Experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities, Experience in operations and on-call support for Mission Critical Plants/Production facilities, Ability to demonstrate key electrical and mechanical competencies and theory, Master Degree in a technical field, Electrical Engineering Master Degree, Mechanical Engineering Master Degree, Industrial Engineer Master Degree or equivalent, Project Management experience

Full Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our Data Centre Engineering Operations Team as a Mechanical Chief Engineer. Data Centre Mechanical Chief Engineer (CE) primary responsibility is ensuring that all mechanical equipment within the data centre is operating at peak efficiency. This involves planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response. The CE serves as an expert technical resource interacting with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) and any third party vendors. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data centre and to support AWS. The CE will also be involved with fire/life safety equipment and electrical equipment.
