You will work closely together with the other teams within ING. As Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer you are a member of the Global Data Centres Services department. **Roles and responsibilities** As a Data Centre Infrastructure engineer, you will be responsible for the physical deployment and maintenance of critical IT hardware and cabling systems. Your key tasks include: * Installing, cabling, and powering servers, storage, and network equipment * Building and maintaining cold/hot aisle containment to optimize airflow and efficiency * Executing structured copper and fiber optic cabling, including testing and labelling * Performing advanced fiber optic procedures such as fusion splicing and OTDR analysis * Installing cable tray systems and managing physical infrastructure scalability * Configuring server management interfaces (e.g., iLO, iDRAC) per instructions * Troubleshooting Layer 1/2 connectivity issues and resolving hardware faults * Using DCIM and ticketing systems for asset tracking and incident management * Documenting cable routes, asset data, and changes **How to succeed** We hire smart people like you for your potential.
