Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable database architectures supporting global, multi-region platforms Take ownership of production database operations including schema changes, data migrations, deployments, and incident resolution Improve performance, reliability, and scalability through tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery optimization Develop automation tools and internal platforms using Go and/or Python to reduce manual operations and improve system efficiency Monitor database health and define alerting strategies based on SLI/SLO frameworks to proactively detect and prevent incidents Collaborate closely with development teams to support query optimization, schema design, and troubleshooting Implement and maintain robust backup, recovery, replication, and security strategies across relational and NoSQL databases Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with database security best practices Requirements: 4+ years of experience working with large-scale MySQL and MongoDB production environments Strong background in Database Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar infrastructure-focused roles Deep understanding of database internals, performance tuning, high availability, and distributed systems Hands-on experience with automation and scripting using Golang and/or Python Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS Aurora, DocumentDB, ElastiCache, and related tooling Experience implementing SLI/SLO/SLA-based reliability practices and monitoring strategies Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery methodologies Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for system reliability and scalability Benefits: Competitive salary with quarterly performance-based bonuses 28 days of paid annual leave Remote-first working model with flexible working hours (core hours 10am–3pm local time) High-quality equipment provided for work Referral bonuses and a
