Full Job Description

## Accountabilities Own and ensure end-to-end reliability of PostgreSQL database systems, including high availability, disaster recovery, and adherence to strict RPO/RTO targets. Design and implement scalable database architectures, including partitioning, sharding strategies, and capacity planning for high-growth environments. Optimize database performance through deep query analysis, indexing strategies, and continuous bottleneck identification and resolution. Build and maintain robust infrastructure for backups, replication, connection pooling, and database automation processes. Define and implement observability frameworks, including monitoring, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and performance dashboards using modern tooling. Ensure banking-grade security practices, including access control, credential management, and compliance-aligned data handling. Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to support schema design and ensure database architecture aligns with application needs. Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices to improve efficiency and operational consistency. Lead technical standards for database engineering, mentoring peers and promoting best practices across teams. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term data platform strategy. Requirements 5+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in high-load, production-grade environments, ideally within fintech or mission-critical systems. Deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals, including MVCC, WAL, vacuum processes, indexing strategies, and query optimization. Strong experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as replication, clustering, and backup validation. Hands-on experience with cloud environments, particularly GCP, and strong Linux system administration skills. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, along with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, ArgoCD). Strong SQL expertise, incl
