Job Description: Lead the team responsible for developing, owning, and deploying forecasting, analysis, and optimization models that turn Lab37’s customer and operational data into reliable decision systems. Establish the strategic roadmap for translating ambiguous problems into structured models that inform product, operations, and business decisions. Oversee the model lifecycle from concept through deployment, ensuring the team balances accuracy, interpretability, latency, and real-world impact. What you'll do Team Leadership advanced degree a plus. 7+ years of relevant work experience in data science, machine learning, statistics, operations research, or similar domains, including a minimum of 3 years of people management experience. Experience mentoring, managing, and developing a team of data scientists. Track record successfully leading teams to build and deploy models that drive measurable business impact. Proven ability to set technical direction and mentor team members in strong analytical and statistical rigor; able to diagnose performance, identify root causes, and quantify tradeoffs. Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL) with the ability to build production-ready data pipelines and models. Systems-thinking mindset; able to model complex, constraint-driven environments end-to-end. Desirable Skills: Experience with operations research or constraint-based optimization (e.g., LP/MIP, scheduling, resource allocation).
