What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3–5 years of experience in data consulting, data governance, or risk data management, understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and regulatory data requirements, proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Risk data management, Finance data management, Regulatory data domains, Regulatory reporting, Data lineage, familiarity with BCBS 239 and regulatory reporting requirements, experience in bridging business teams (such as Risk and Finance) with IT and data teams, hands-on experience with tools and platforms such as: SQL, Python, Modern data platforms, including data visualization tools (e. g. , Power BI or equivalent), understanding of data quality, data security, compliance, and operating model considerations in enterprise environments, structured in your delivery mindset, communication skills, ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
ideally in financial services, relevant certifications in cloud, data, project management, or agile methodologies (considered an advantage), experience in AI or a interest in the field, which would be a asset

Define and implement data governance frameworks covering ownership
and roles and responsibilities for critical data
Support regulatory compliance
with a focus on risk data aggregation and regulatory
Design and implement data lineage frameworks to ensure end-to-end traceability across
Define data quality frameworks covering rules
remediation workflows
and KPIs for regulatory and risk
Improve regulatory reporting processes through stronger data management
Support the implementation of modern data platforms
Translate regulatory and risk requirements into actionable data initiatives with business and IT
Engage senior stakeholders across Risk
and IT to align priorities and support transformation
Contribute to Wavestone’s growth and Data Governance capabilities by supporting client proposals
go-to-market initiatives
and the development of internal assets
delivery methodologies
and reusable accelerators.
