What They're Looking For.
Must Have
proven experience leading and developing data engineering teams, technical leader with deep expertise in data modelling, modern data platforms, Python, SQL and PySpark, minimum of 8 years’ experience in data engineering, significant experience leading and developing data engineering teams, deep knowledge of modern data platforms (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric), advanced data modelling techniques together with SQL, Python and PySpark

What You'll Do.
and develop a high-performing team of Data Engineers
Provide strategic technical leadership and direction for data modelling
and data platform architecture
and maintain enterprise-grade data models and robust data pipelines
Act as a central point of contact and escalation within the IKEA Data Engineering community
and enforce data engineering best practices
Optimise data models and pipelines for performance
Ensure data is stored
and accessed securely
Contribute to the development and adoption of reusable frameworks
Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and practices
