Must Have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, 8+ years of industry experience in data engineering, Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or C++, Working knowledge of Apache Spark for complex data processing needs, experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, DynamoDB, or Aurora, Hands-on experience in writing complex SQLs and optimizing them for speed and performance, Proficiency in data modeling (3NF, star, snowflake) and designing schemas for batch and streaming systems, Experience with web-based distributed applications (front-end and back-end), REST APIs, and relational databases, Experience preparing datasets for LLM applications, including text normalization, document parsing, vector embeddings/DBs, and semantic search/indexing, Knowledge of Agentic AI architectures, tool-calling frameworks, and chaining techniques (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Bedrock Agents, AWS MCP concepts), analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Git hub with good documentation practices, Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have
at least 3 years in experience in life sciences, medical devices, or regulated industries, Experience in IT development and data stack utilized in pharmaceutical industry, Experience with Scala, Airflow, and Kafka, Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical software (GMP, GxP, FDA, IEC 62304), Experience in test-driven development and continuous integration, Experience with Machine Learning and DevOps tools
What You'll Do.

Automate infrastructure deployment with BMS Auto PTP and CloudFormation tools (Infrastructure as a Code)
Partner with upstream application owners to develop data streaming pipelines using AWS AppFlow
Step functions etc. into downstream DBs
Design normalized and denormalized data models to support Unified Data Model (UDM) frameworks for healthcare
or operational systems
Develop and maintain documentation on architecture design

Ensure data quality and accuracy through unit testing
