Whether it's through the strategic depth of Magic: The Gathering®, the rich storytelling of Dungeons experience writing queries to extract, transform, and analyze data. Exposure to at least one scripting language (Python preferred) for data manipulation, automation, or pipeline development. Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and a curiosity to deepen that knowledge. Understanding of core data engineering concepts: ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and batch processing. Awareness of or interest in tools like DBT, Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, or Kafka — experience with any is a plus. A self-starter mindset with genuine curiosity for solving unstructured data problems and working with large datasets. Familiarity with or curiosity about AI-enabled development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar coding assistants) and an interest in leveraging them to write better code, accelerate development, and improve engineering workflows. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
