Full Job Description

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join Wildlife's Analytics Building and evolving integrations with third-party APIs, such as app stores, ad networks, and other external data providers; Developing our internal event streaming process, responsible for the analytical and backend events; Designing and maintaining the pipelines and tables that power our revenue, player, KPI, crashlytics, and experimentation data; Operating and evolving the data platform itself, including Airflow, Databricks workspace, data lake, and Looker. We know the work we do has a high impact on the company's success. The right person for this role is naturally curious, comfortable taking the initiative, loves solving problems end-to-end, and can thrive in a fast and growing business. What you'll do Solve open-ended problems that directly affect how the company tracks revenue, players, and game performance; Take projects end-to-end — design, build, ship, and own them in production, with support from senior engineers on the team; Work cross-functionally with Data Engineers in other teams, Data Scientists, Game Engineers, SDK Engineers, UA Analysts, and Game Ops; Help improve the availability, reliability, performance, and cost of our existing systems — not just ship new features on top of them. What you'll need Solid Python and SQL skills; Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and concepts, such as ingestion services, orchestration, batch and streaming processing, data lakes, BI concepts; Ownership mindset for the projects you work on; Great communication skills; Proficiency in written English. Main challenges The team is responsible for designing, building, and evolving a wide set of complex data products, including ingestion (batch and streaming), pipelines, BI, data quality, and the infrastructure underneath all of it.
