What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field, 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, Hands-on experience with Google Big Query, Hands-on experience with Python, Hands-on experience with SQL, Hands-on experience with DBT, Hands-on experience with Airflow / Cloud Composer, Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipeline development, Solid understanding of cloud-based data architecture, Knowledge of data quality frameworks, Knowledge of validation methods, Knowledge of governance best practices
Nice to Have
Experience with Ascend. io, Experience with Databricks, Experience with Dataflow, Experience with Fivetran, Familiarity with data cataloging tools, Familiarity with governance tools like Collibra, Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Knowledge of Git-based workflows, Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools, Exposure to event-driven streaming pipelines, Exposure to real-time streaming pipelines using Pub/Sub or Kafka, Ability to provide on ground troubleshooting and diagnosis to architecture and design challenges, Good experience in Agile Methodologies like Scrum, Good experience in Agile Methodologies like Kanban, Good experience in managing IT backlogs
