Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly and is looking for a Data Center Technician to join its expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a dynamic technology company and a global leader in the data center space. The position will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels for data center operations. This position includes computer hardware and network diagnostics, as well as physical repair. This position may also include participation in an on-call rotation. All candidates must be able to work independently and in a team. Establishing work priorities, organizational skills, effective communication and the ability to respond quickly are essential to success. In addition to repairing computer equipment and networks, the candidate will install equipment, produce documentation, provide innovative solutions and resolve problems inside the data center. This team works in a 24/7 environment. We are open to hiring candidates to work in any of the following locations: Calgary, AB, CAN Balzac, AB, CAN The successful candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian Personnel Security Clearance to the required level, as a condition of employment. As set out in the Standard on security screening, the personnel security screening assesses an individual's reliability and loyalty to Canada. It involves: * the collection of personal information from individuals, with their consent * information from law enforcement, intelligence agencies and other sources This process includes a variation of verifications based on the level required.
