Full Job Description
We are currently expanding our infrastructure management team and are looking for proven technology managers with experience in people management, strong technical understanding and the drive and vision to take Amazon.com Data Center Operations to the next level. The successful candidate will have experience managing people with varying skillsets, devising strategies, mentoring people in all levels, sponsoring projects, and proposing technical solutions. The successful candidate will be operationally responsible for several of Amazon.com's Data Centers during the Overnight Shift (9pm - 7am). This role supports data centers in various operational stages. The position may be assigned to a facility still under development, which could require travel to established locations for training until your designated site becomes fully operational. Candidates must be able to travel (over 50 miles) or commute (less than 50 miles) to active data center sites as required by business needs. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements. This position requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
