What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of experience in data center facilities management or critical infrastructure operations, knowledge of data center infrastructure including power distribution (PDUs), cooling systems, and environmental controls, Understanding of backup power systems including UPS and generator operations, Familiarity with data center standards and best practices (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, TIA-942), Experience with environmental monitoring systems and building management systems (BMS), Knowledge of safety protocols for working in data center environments, Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment and respond to after-hours emergencies, troubleshooting skills with ability to quickly identify and resolve facility issues, Excellent documentation and communication skills, Physical ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs), work with cabling, and navigate raised floor environments, High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field, Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data center operations or critical facilities management, Experience working with mission-critical infrastructure and understanding of uptime requirements, Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) or Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) certification, Experience with colocation or managed service provider data center environments, Knowledge of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools, Electrical or HVAC technical certifications, Experience with incident management and change management processes (ITIL framework), Familiarity with physical security systems and access control in data center environments
