Full Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This dedicated group works to maintain the critical physical infrastructure that supports Amazon Web Services. Specifically, this team ensures that the data center's Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems operate at 100% availability while providing first-class customer service to the teams and groups within the data centers. Key job responsibilities The Water Infrastructure Tech is responsible for the following key duties: • Conducting in-depth analyses and providing solutions to enhance Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE) for a specific area. • Developing and implementing solutions to enhance the Legionella program for a designated area. • Ensuring compliance with regulations and permit requirements set by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ), local government municipalities, and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for the assigned area's infrastructure. • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for water infrastructure equipment, including ultrafiltration systems, reverse osmosis systems, and oxidant systems. • Overseeing preventative maintenance and spare parts management for the assigned area. • Properly conducting water sampling activities. • Engaging and coordinating with vendors for troubleshooting and repair of equipment. • Engaging with other supporting teams such as Field Engineering, Design Engineering, Environmental, Legal and Regional Water team. • Working around evaporative cooling ponds in the summer months for water sampling, remediation, and repair work. Physical Requirements: Willingness and demonstrated ability to work in the following physical conditions with reasonable accommodations: - Regularly lift and/or move up to 39 pounds independently - Participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds - Maintain balance and perform construction tasks while on a ladder - Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle
