What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline, Fluent in English language, both written and spoken, 2+ years in a Data Center or Mission Critical Environment or Equivalent
Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree, Relevant experience in a critical environment, Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data center, Experience in management of vendors/contractors
What You'll Do.
Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance
Perform filter changes
Perform battery system PMs
Perform Rack PDU & Rack ATS replacements
Perform root cause analysis for operational issues
Troubleshoot facility and rack level events
Ensure personnel on-site follow safety protocols
Work on-call and a rotating schedule
Take daily operational readings
Provide metrics reporting to senior engineers
Perform basic support concepts
Ensure overall operation and maintenance of electrical

The Engineering Technician will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The Data Center Engineering Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. The Data Center Engineering Technician will continue to maintain high reliability and performance while keeping operating costs in facilities at a minimum.
