What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS or MS from a technical field of study (e.g. data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, health economics, operations research, etc.), 1-3 years of relevant experience, Proficient in SQL, Proficient in R, Understanding of key statistical concepts, Ability to generate and interpret statistical analyses, Clear and confident communicator, Ability to break down complex data analyses to tell a compelling story, Self-starter, Ability to independently prioritize, Enjoys coming up with innovative solutions to challenging problems
Nice to Have
Prior experience in Healthcare, Prior Oncology or Clinical Data experience, Experience designing experiments, Experience developing software tools, Experience in Python
What You'll Do.
Support the delivery of data sets and products to clients in the life sciences
Build research-grade data sets
Conduct statistical analyses
Become a subject matter expert on our data and its capabilities
Work closely with a cross-functional team to develop new real-world data products
Conduct and review tests to monitor quality of data sets
Investigate data issues as necessary
Conduct and present ad-hoc analyses in response to customer requests and internal questions
Develop tools and process improvements to optimize project execution for custom solutions projects
Conduct analyses on internal process metadata
Translate findings into actionable insights for business leaders

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care? What You’ll Do In this role, you'll work with Flatiron’s Evidence Solutions team to support the delivery of data sets and products to our clients in the life sciences. You'll play a key role in developing data models, building research-grade data sets, and conducting statistical analyses that support our customers in their efforts to advance the state of cancer care. As part of this work, you will: Become a subject matter expert on our data and its capabilities Work closely with a cross-functional team (e.g., product managers, software engineers, oncologists, clinical data specialists) to develop new real-world data products.
