At Bermex, we are always looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working independently and love the outdoors to become a part of our team. **About the Role** The Certified Damage Prevention Technician will report to the Operations Lead. The position will play a key role in safety and quality while driving, parking, and performing audits on marked gas lines. This position requires a high level of physical activity and working in a wide variety of weather conditions. ***Salary transparency: Pay for this role is at $18/hour. *** **What You’ll Do** * Compliance & Safety * Assure compliance with Code Rule 753 and promote safe excavation practices * Follow strict Utility, State and Federal guidelines relating to damage prevention * Wear assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) and company uniform * Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures * Participate in safety meetings * Gas Main Locating & Site Visits * Hand out educational materials and public awareness items to excavators * Visit 3rd party excavation sites and construction zones regularly * Collect data using handheld tablet or other collection device * Show courtesy and professionalism when dealing with customers and other employees * Complete Work Orders on assigned dates * Travel to visit sites on occasion * Communication & Collaboration * Provide timely reports and documentation to management regularly * Escalate issues and questions to Supervisor when necessary * Maintain a satisfactory attendance record * Keep assigned vehicle clean *
