What They're Looking For.
Must Have
7 to 15+ years of experience in DevOps/platform engineering or a similar software engineering role, Good knowledge of at least one modern programming language, Solid understanding of web software architecture, Experience managing and optimizing a PaaS platform among the following: AWS, GCP or Azure, Experience implementing modern CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc., Experience in configuration management and infrastructure provisioning, with knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Experience implementing cloud cybersecurity best practices, Experience with Linux platforms, scripting, networking, etc., Experience with incremental build and caching mechanisms, Experience in dependency management, Experience in operating and deploying IoT systems, Good understanding of cost trade-offs (deployment, build, runtime, development time and hardware resources)

What You'll Do.
Develop Vention's internal development platform
and secure cloud environments
Develop secure solutions for vulnerability analysis
and dependency management
Implement and evolve Vention's CI/CD pipelines
Ensure a self-service
and cost-effective cloud platform
Align development and production environments for cloud systems
Create solutions to bridge the gap between edge deployments (embedded controllers) and the production cloud platform
Design data pipeline architectures for analytics and machine learning model training
Ensure adequate observability of performance
and security of all production software and systems
Collaborate with development teams to ensure DevSecOps best practices are applied
Work with development teams to implement and continuously improve infrastructure services
Participate in incident response activities
Participate in forensic investigation activities
Participate in postmortem analysis activities
Establish troubleshooting best practices
Contribute to AWS cost and infrastructure optimization
Design efficient cloud architectures
Manage software inventory and application lifecycle
Ensure upgrade plans for software tools and packages before end-of-support
Ensure all cloud and embedded production systems have adequate availability and health monitoring
Create detailed guides and clear inventory of system status and associated best practices
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with development teams to ensure DevSecOps best practices are applied; Work with development teams to implement and continuously improve infrastructure services; Collaborate with teams to design efficient cloud architectures; Concrete interactions with development managers and senior technology leadership to guide, implement, and promote DevSecOps initiatives
