The IT Cybersecurity Intern will assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues to ensure seamless IT operations. Support system maintenance, user account management, and documentation of technical solutions. This position is expected to start September 2026 and continue through the entire Fall 2026 term (through December 2026). Our internships are a minimum of 12 weeks, part-time (20 to 25 hours) and on-site. In This Role Assist in reviewing and documenting low-rated security alerts and incidents Conduct preliminary checks and triage under guidance before escalation Learn how escalation procedures work and how the security team collaborates with IT partners Assist in monitoring and reviewing logs and alerts from our SIEM, with a focus on Microsoft, Azure, Aruba, and Meraki environments Support analysis by noting unusual activity or recurring patterns Track and document common alerts for trend reporting Assist with collecting indicators of compromise (IOCs) for further analysis Observe how low-rated alerts can be leveraged to identify anomalies that may signal potential threats Participate in reviews of incident investigations to understand their origin, impact, and resolution Learn how findings are documented and how recommendations are developed to improve detection, reduce false positives, and enhance response times for future incidents Assist in maintaining notes on
