Full Job Description

# We are seeking to hire a highly qualified and experienced professional to join out team at our terminal in the port of Rotterdam. The successful candidate must be proficient in Dutch speaking and reading and understanding to be able to perform activities related to customs. # # _Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_ Dedicated support to the Customs Compliance Manager: * Act as SME for internal and external stakeholders on customs and trade compliance * Manage Terminal Customs & Excise licenses and authorizations * Identify improvement opportunities in processes, IT design and applications, data quality and internal control frameworks and translate into improvement proposals * Manage audit file requirements and development * Ensure full Customs compliance and adherence to AEO requirements and relevant regulatory frameworks. * Deliver guidance on preferential and non-preferential origin processes to internal and external stakeholders * Stay up to date with legislation changes and development, and translate into presentable materials in different formats * Develop and maintain procedures * Safeguard audit readiness by initiating and coordinating self-audit programs, internal controls, reporting results and follow up actions * support on Customs audits Support daily operations with Customs compliance expertise * Grow team capabilities with knowledge sharing, training and strengthen collaboration across functions and departments **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Fluently Dutch, English * Analytic, accurate and compliance focused * Highly self-driven and proactive in handling responsibilities * Effective interpersonal skills appropriate to the role * Strong digital skills, working with multiple systems and applications, understanding of regulatory IT initiatives and requirements and ability to translate to business processes * Interest in innovation, data analyses, understand AI ethics and the ability to use AI tools and integrate in work processes * Abi
