Must Have

High School Diploma or GED with 4 plus years relevant experience, Associates Degree in Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology or vocational/technical/military training with 2 years relevant experience, 2+ years of experience communicating effectively with customers, mechanical aptitude with fine motor skills, Experience with circuit boards, electrical equipment, measuring devices and hand tools, Ability to grow into troubleshooting failures, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, capable of reading engineering drawings and assembly specifications, organized and keep accurate records, communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, interface effectively with supervision, work in a team-based environment, comfortable using PC's, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to work independently, Ability to be self-motivated, priority and time management skills, Ability to multitask

What You'll Do.

Manage warranty claims and repairs

Document findings and resolutions

Provide phone support to customers

Provide phone support to internal teams

Handle Service Tools product repairs

Evaluate in warranty returns

Perform out of warranty billable repairs

Provide technical support to distributors

Provide technical support to sales representatives

Provide technical support to end-users

Provide backup assistance for customer service teams

Provide backup assistance for sales teams

Troubleshoot equipment

Repair equipment to module level

Repair equipment to component level

Maintain product lines

Service product lines

Test repaired equipment

Verify repaired equipment operation

Process warranty returns

Process out of warranty repairs

Generate return numbers on SAP

Close out returns on SAP

Act as technical resource for inquiries

Step in for calls requiring higher expertise

Cover calls during staffing gaps

Cover calls during high-demand periods

Be involved in sustaining projects

Be involved in new product development

Communicate repair and maintenance issues

Execute reports for management

Communicate issues to management

Communicate issues to engineering teams

Assist Marketing with repair parts lists

Provide sales assistance to distributors

Provide sales assistance to end users

Provide technical assistance to distributors
