One (1) year experience in a healthcare setting, One (1) year previous customer service experience, Knowledge of medical terminology, Knowledge of ICS-9 and CPT coding
What You'll Do.
Accurate and timely resolution of patient’s billing concerns
Implementing collection policies and procedures
Interviewing and counseling patients for payment arrangements and/or charity assistance
Works with patients to resolve account balances
Accurately posts data (payments
Communicates problems hindering work flow to management
Resolves patient billing and third party payer concerns
Answers patient questions quickly
Accurately identifies and screens Medicare charity within established guidelines
Rebills accounts as necessary
