On-site support, Hours on-site will need to vary occasionally (e.g., 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM), On-site support will occur at three locations: Primary: Big Box (693 North Hills Road) Secondary: YVO (1425 Eden Road) Tertiary: IC (275 Cross Farm Lane), When not on-site, supervisor will need to provide on-call support: 1st shift shuttle runs from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday with additional weekend work frequently scheduled., Will regularly conduct ride-alongs with drivers., Will actively monitor and audit driver activity through Radius and GeoTab as well as trip sheets., DOT Regulated

Must Have

H. S. diploma/GED required, 0 to One (1) year direct supervisory/leadership experience required

Nice to Have

One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred, CDL Class A, 9 months experience within the past 3 years, 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years, Jockey Experience

What You'll Do.

coordinate and oversee the logistics operations

development and training to the staff members

provide recommendations for improvements to the facility

ensure that the staff is performing to standard

ensure that progress is made to achieve the business objectives

coordinate and oversee day to day logistics

in collaboration with the Logistics Manager

all logistics processes

ensuring that they meet the company standards and customer service specifications

Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics

Meet regularly with team members collectively

as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives

coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes

Carry out performance evaluations of the team members and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases when appropriate

Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process

Understand labor agreement and maintain positive labor relations with all employees

Responsible for implementation of health & safety and security initiatives

practices and behaviors and adherence to company rules and policies

Provide appropriate orientation for employees and Lead Hands and give them the information

technology and any material necessary to perform their jobs

Performs other duties as assigned.
