## Description Precision Metal Fabrication Technician (TIG Welding) Location: Hanover, PA Shift: First Shift | Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM Additional Hours: Occasional Saturdays and overtime as required Compensation: Starting at $24/hour+ (depending on experience and skill level) Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Precision Metal Fabrication Technician to support the production of custom handrails and fabricated metal assemblies. This role combines fitting, layout, fabrication, and TIG welding responsibilities involving aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal materials. The ideal candidate is experienced in blueprint interpretation, precision fabrication techniques, and producing high-quality weldments while maintaining productivity and safety standards in a fast-paced shop environment. ## Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Layout Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production specifications. Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for assembly and welding. Fit and assemble metal components using fixtures, clamps, jigs, and layout tools. Verify dimensions and alignment prior to final welding. Resolve fit-up and fabrication issues to ensure quality and efficiency. TIG Welding Perform TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and similar materials. Produce welds that meet appearance and structural requirements. Inspect completed welds and make adjustments as needed. Maintain quality standards throughout the fabrication process. Equipment & Material Handling Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, notchers, and other metalworking tools. Move materials and completed assemblies using forklifts, pallet jacks, and lifting equipment when required. Perform routine care and maintenance of tools and equipment. Production & Safety Follow work instructions, drawings, and established fabrication procedures. Meet production deadlines while maintaining workmanship standards.
