Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Graduate of 2-year radiologic technology program, Current and valid Florida State License (CRT), Current and valid Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry, CT (CT) registry, Basic Life Support BLS through American Heart Association (CPR)
What You'll Do.
Perform general computerized tomography procedures
Produce high quality digital exams
Follow established protocols
Perform general technical CT procedures
Apply prescribed ionizing radiation
Assume responsibility for designated area
Verify prescription matches procedure
Record reasons for exam
Explain procedures to patient
Obtain patient cooperation
Administer oral and IV contrast
Position patient on examining table
Adjust immobilization devices
Adjust equipment controls
Process radiologic CT digital images
Examine images for technical quality
Verify patient exam corresponds to order
Make changes in billing codes
Present prior studies to radiologist
Practice ALARA program
Minimize radiation to patient and staff
Check machine for problems
