Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Graduate of a 2-year radiologic technology program, Current and valid Florida State License (CRT), Current and valid Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry, CT (CT) registry, Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association (CPR), Knowledge & skill performing CT procedures and protocols, Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Knowledge of CT equipment, Knowledge of customer service concepts, Knowledge of safety requirements, Skill in positioning patients properly, Skill in using computer network system competently, Skill in performing quality exams, Ability to communicate clearly, Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions, Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
What You'll Do.
Perform advanced computerized tomography procedures
Produce high quality diagnostic digital exams
Apply prescribed ionizing radiation
Verify prescription matches procedure
Record reasons for exam
Explain procedures to patient
Administer oral and IV contrast
Position patient on examining table
Adjust immobilization devices
Adjust equipment controls
Process radiologic CT digital images
Examine images for technical quality
Produce 3D reconstruction images
Verify patient's exam corresponds to ordered exam
Make changes in billing codes/exam titles
Present prior studies to radiologist
Practice ALARA program
Minimize radiation to patient and staff
Check machine for problems
