Industry & Context.
Resolve CS&A-related construction issues
Attend the Warrington office a minimum of 3 days per week, Visit the Sellafield site regularly, Full UK driving licence, Able to meet the requirements for UK security clearance, Minimum of a BPSS clearance without any caveats, Travel to site weekly (minimum bi-weekly)
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Civil / Structural Engineering Degree, or equivalent, Demonstrable expertise in major project areas relevant to the engineering discipline, Proven leadership capability within an engineering function, Experience working within the Nuclear Sector, understanding of design principles, Working knowledge of British Standards, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Full UK driving licence (or equivalent permitting driving in the UK), Able to meet the requirements for UK security clearance, minimum of a BPSS clearance without any caveats
Nice to Have
Chartered Engineer (CEng) – MICE or MIStructE, Possess a general understanding of fire strategy arrangements
What You'll Do.
Provide leadership and guidance to team
Attend Warrington office and Sellafield site
Check and comment on design submissions
accept or reject design sign
accept or reject TQ/PP submissions
Review progress of structural detail design
Demonstrate understanding of service supports
Possess understanding of fire strategy
Interface with multi-discipline design team
Provide support to Safety Case work
Demonstrate design understanding of external works
Review and comment on interfaces
Engage with construction team and supply chain
Attend weekly risk review meetings
Visit site for walkdowns
and resolve construction issues
Liaise with SL Site Utilities and Infrastructure Capability
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Support to the JV CSA design and site engineering team; Engage with the multi-discipline JV construction team and subcontractors; Interface with the multi-discipline design team; Liaise with SL Capability; Engage regularly with the JV construction team and supply chain; Attend weekly meetings; Liaise with the site construction team; Liaise and interface with SL Site Utilities and Infrastructure Capability
