We have an opening for a Cryogenic Systems Engineering Manager to lead and advance the cryogenic operations and engineering capabilities that support the successful fielding of all NIF targets. You will provide broad technical leadership, strategic direction, and high‑level engineering oversight across cryogenic test systems, target layering operations, and readiness activities for shot campaigns at the National Ignition Facility, which is a round-the-clock operational facility conducting laser fusion experiments. This position resides in the Laser Systems Engineering & Operations (LSEO) Division within the Engineering Directorate and directly supports the NIF & Photon Science (NIF&PS) Directorate. This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
