What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a combination of formal education, work experience, and on-the-job training in lieu of a degree (8 years), Valid United States (U. S. ) Driver’s License, Ability to successfully pass an ATF background investigation, including criminal history, credit/financial queries, drug use, previous employment/education verification, and DMV records check, Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF Public Trust Clearance is required to perform in this role, Must be willing to provide a DNA sample as part of employment screening, US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain ATF Public Trust Clearance, Ability to successfully pass the competency testing for acquisitions and correlations review after being trained to perform image and correlation reviews on National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) equipment, Ability to work with and coordinate the efforts of local, State, and Federal law enforcement, Ability to analyze, summarize, report, and share information, Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications and software

Enter crime gun traces into the ATF e-Trace database and understand the crime gun tracing process/requirements and intended outcomes
Enter data into spreadsheets
Enter data into the NIBIN Enforcement Support System (NESS) and understand intended outcomes
Enter data and update charts and reports
Enter evidence into the Integrated Ballistic Information Systems (IBIS) and understand intended outcomes
Perform ballistic image and correlation reviews
Produce basic analytical products
Summarize information in writing
