Five (5) years of infrastructure maintenance and/or construction experience, Demonstrated experience planning and monitoring the work activities of field personnel providing highway construction and/or maintenance activities, Must be able to prepare timesheets and/or reports via hardcopy written documentation, Thorough knowledge of practices, materials, methods and equipment used in routine highway maintenance activities, Working knowledge of the Department’s Standard Plans for Road and Bridge Construction and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and other traffic control procedures for work zones, Working knowledge of the operation, repair and maintenance of equipment supplied by the Contractor and other equipment utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work, Ability to clearly communicate orally and written in English, Willing to possess a current Florida Department of Agriculture Commercial Applicator’s license with the categories of licensure in Right-of-Way Pest Control and Aquatic Pest Control, Successful completion of an FDOT approved Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) advanced course and always maintain the TTC certificate or card on their person while performing work
