The topics covered the catchment concept, precipitation and snow processes, evapotranspiration, soil water hydrology, the runoff hydrograph and runoff processes, discharge processes including extremes (floods and droughts), and the hydrology of lakes, wetlands/peatlands, forested catchments and permafrost regions. The successful applicant would be responsible for four take-home assignments, a course precis (annotated bibliography) project, a midterm exam, and a final exam. **Teaching Qualification Requirements:** A PhD in physical geography or related environmental science with an excellent understanding of the processes in catchment hydrology. Be a good communicator and have good course management skills.
