Applied Methods in Teaching Secondary Eng. Language Arts. **Description:** The teaching of English language arts as framed by contemporary youth social worlds, and current research in critical literary/literacy theory. Mobilization of digital technologies and relevant Quebec Ministry of Education professional competencies for teachers. _This course is not Team taught or offered online._ **Term:** Fall 2026 **Credits:** 3 credits **Location:** Education Building (EDUC 539) **Schedule:** Wednesday, 05:35 pm-08:25 pm **Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):** Education: 1\. Master educator with a minimum completed master’s degree in a relevant field. PhD preferred. 2\. Strong grounding in English language arts education, literacy theory, and pedagogy at the secondary level. Experience: 1\. School-based English language arts teaching experience in secondary schools, preferably in Quebec. 2\. Experience supporting teacher candidates in teacher education and/or English language arts methods course contexts. 3\.
