L2 Learning: Classroom Settings. **Description:** This course provides an introduction to theory and research in second language acquisition (SLA). It is designed to help students understand the processes, developmental patterns and factors contributing to SLA so that the students will be prepared to evaluate and develop teaching procedures in light of this understanding _This course is not Team taught or offered online._ **Term:** Fall 2026 **Credits:** 3 credits **Location:** Education Building (EDUC 624) **Schedule:** Monday, 11:35 am-02:25 pm **Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):** Education / Éducation 1\. A Master’s degree in Second Language Education or related area (in exceptional circumstances applicants without a Master’s degree but with significant research or professional experience related to the course content may be considered). 2\. Expert knowledge of course content. Experience / Expérience 1\. Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP). 2\. Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified in the Ministère de l’Éducation. 3\. Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) to pre-service teachers. 4\.
