Classroom-based Evaluation. **Description:** The role of evaluation within kindergarten/elementary school programs. Topics include the kinds of information needed, different techniques for collecting that information, and ways of interpreting it to make educational decisions. Principles and a variety of methods for evaluation are discussed and practiced. _This course is not Team taught or offered online._ **Term:** Fall 2026 **Credits:** 3 credits **Location:** Education Building (EDUC 629) **Schedule:** Monday, 11:35 am-02:25 pm **Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):** Education: 1\. Master’s degree (In exceptional circumstances applicants without a Master's degree but with significant research or professional experience related to the course content may be considered). 2\. Teaching degree or equivalent. Experience: 1\. Experience teaching in elementary schools. 2\. Expert knowledge of assessment and evaluation pedagogy in elementary schools. 3\. Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP). 4\. Familiarity with the professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.. 5\.
