Literacy - Multilingual/Multicultural Settings. **Description:** This course examines the teaching of literacy in a range of multilingual and multicultural settings in schooling and society, primarily from the sociocultural perspectives of self and group identity as well as empowerment within majority-minority group relations. _This course is not Team taught or offered online._ **Term:** Fall 2026 **Credits:** 3 credits **Location:** TBA **Schedule:** Tuesday, 05:35 pm-08:25 pm **Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):** Education: 1\. PhD in a relevant field (e.g., applied linguistics, language and literacy education, sociolinguistics, curriculum studies, or related interdisciplinary fields). 2\. Strong grounding in literacy theory, language education, and critical approaches to multilingual and multicultural education. Experience: 1\.
