First Year Professional Seminar. **Description:** Orientation to the culture and community of school and to teaching as a profession. Focus on the general functioning of schools and complexity of the teacher role. Competencies and working professional portfolios will be addressed. _This course is not Team taught or offered online._ **Term:** Fall 2026 **Credits:** 1 credit **Location:** Education Building (EDUC 613) **Schedule:** Friday, 11:35 am-02:25 pm **Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):** Education: 1\. Master’s degree (In exceptional circumstances applicants without a Master's degree but with significant research or professional experience related to the course content may be considered). 2\. Teaching degree or equivalent Experience: 1\. Experience teaching in schools. 2\. Expert knowledge of course content. 3\. Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP) 4\.
