Includes the study of music curriculum content and instructional approaches, classroom management issues, lesson planning and program development for elementary and secondary schools. Relevant professional competencies will be addressed, developed and assessed _This course is not Team taught or offered online._ **Term:** Fall 2026 **Credits:** 3 credits **Location:** Education Building (EDUC 115) **Schedule:** Friday, 11:35 am-02:25 pm **Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):** Education: 1\. Master’s degree (In exceptional circumstances applicants without a Master's degree but with significant research or professional experience related to the course content may be considered). 2\. Degree in Music Education or equivalent. 3\. Teaching degree or equivalent, and experience teaching music in elementary and/or secondary schools. Experience: 1\. Expert knowledge of music education. 2\. Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP). 3\. Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation. 4\.
