Basic Art Media for Classroom. **Description:** An introduction to media that can be easily adapted to elementary classroom studio exploration. _This course is not Team taught or offered online._ **Term:** Fall 2026 **Credits:** 3 credits **Location:** Education Building (EDUC 604) **Schedule:** Monday, 08:35 am-11:25 am **Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):** Education: 1\. Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (e.g. Visual Art Education) and/or extensive relevant experience as an artist-educator with a background in visual arts. 2\. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset. Experience: 1.Expert knowledge of: * Using and teaching the fundamentals of basic art media for elementary classroom use. * The place of art education in the contemporary elementary classroom. * Inter-disciplinary connections between art and the rest of the elementary curriculum. 2\. Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level. 3.Experience as a visual arts teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system. 4.Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation. Other: 1\. Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion. 2\. Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality
