Instructor for Course ARCH 406 - Design and Construction 4 For winter 2027, ARCH 406 will be offered as vertical option studios. Students will be assigned through a preference-ranking exercise in fall 2026. **Calendar Description:** **ARCH 406** Architecture: A detailed study and comprehensive development of architectural proposals for complex building types and site conditions; the exploration of coherent initial concepts with respect to programmatic requirements, image and form; subsequent elaboration leading to meaningful and technologically viable designs for the built environment. **CACB SPC: ** A1 A4 A5 A7 A8 **Topic and themes** Instructors interested in these positions might include a suggested studio proposal. Themes include: Lyceum 2027 competition (or other competition brief) Sustainable housing Civic cultural program Community engagement **TQR: ** M.Arch. or equivalent (first professional degree); Professional practice and/or post-secondary teaching experience in architecture; Appropriate technical, digital and/or critical, theoretical expertise for the course; active in the profession. **** **Coordination:** Please note that to better coordinate and manage student workload, instructors will be expected to work closely with colleagues and administration ahead of the semester to confirm scope, schedule, and assignments.
