What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Associate's degree in an applicable area of Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or a related curriculum, three (3) years of progressive technician level or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice to Have
Basic knowledge and understanding of concepts, practices, and theories used in the geomatics specialty area, Ability to understand and apply the geomatic concepts, practices, and theories involved in the completion of different types of surveys and geomatic projects, Ability to prepare/review small or less complex geomatic maps/plats and/or data for completeness, compatibility, compliance with geomatic principles, standards, laws and project ability to make recommendations to higher level surveyors or managers on project concerns/issues, Ability to ensure sufficient coverage/resources for proposed program/project, under the guidance of a higher-level surveyor or manager, Ability to write clear, concise and organized documents and reports addressing basic geomatic concepts and facts, Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification
What You'll Do.
Perform geodetic surveying
Conduct water boundary surveys
Research public trust lands
Perform county and state boundary surveys
Analyze and process survey data
Perform floodplain mapping
Conduct vertical and horizontal control surveys
Utilize conventional survey methods
Record GNSS receiver signals
process survey field data
Review completed field data for accuracy
Perform field operations safely
Utilize traffic control when working near roadway
Keep up to date on equipment
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Support higher level professionals for geomatics projects; Serve as a member of a geodetic survey team; Receive project assignments from higher level professionals; Review data performed by other team members
Communication Scope
Write clear, concise and organized documents and reports
