About The Role The Country Manager - Taiwan is the single-threaded owner of BJAK’s Taiwan business, with full P&L responsibility. This role owns the market end to end - from setting up and running local operations to driving revenue, controlling costs, and scaling the business into a profitable, durable operation. What You Will Be Doing : Market Entry & Business Planning • Develop and execute the market entry strategy, including a detailed business plan covering regulatory setup, partnerships, distribution, and growth strategy. Regulatory & Licensing • Take a hands-on role in securing the necessary regulatory licences and approvals required to operate in the Taiwan insurance market. • Work closely with internal and external legal and compliance teams to ensure full adherence to local regulatory requirements and industry standards. Insurer Partnerships & Distribution • Build relationships with insurers, underwriting partners, and ecosystem players in the Taiwan market. Negotiate commercial partnerships, product distribution agreements, and integration arrangements. • Develop a strong product lineup from insurer partners, ensuring a consistently competitive offering in the market. Business Development • Lead the platform launch, working closely with product and engineering teams to develop features, integrations, and customer journeys. • Drive rapid product iteration and execution to ensure strong product–market fit. Operations • Establish high-performance operating processes, cadence, and reporting structures to achieve strong growth metrics. Leadership & Execution • Represent the group with insurers, regulators, partners, media, and key stakeholders. • Build a high-performing team with a strong ownership culture
