Full Job Description
The Corporate Affairs team offers a unique working experience within ING. We are seeking a confident and skilled Corporate Secretary to the Management Board (EB/MBB) to drive effective governance and experience “an MBA on the job”. As Corporate Secretary, you will gain exposure to strategic decision-making and collaborate closely with senior leaders and act as trusted advisor to the EB/MBB and together with the team you play an important role in supporting ING’s corporate boards. This role is ideal for a professional with preferably a legal background or experience in legal practice, who is ready to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and highly sensitive and confidential environment at the heart of ING. Your direct colleagues are fellow corporate secretaries, a business manager, a business consultant and board coordinators. **The team** At the heart of ING’s corporate governance, our team is the driving force behind effective decision-making and seamless board operations. We thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, ensuring that ING’s leadership remains agile and compliant in an ever-evolving landscape. We are: * guiding high quality proposals to the corporate boards to ensure effective corporate decision making; * organising and facilitating well-prepared, efficient board meetings; * maintaining compliance with evolving standards, laws and regulations; * leveraging digital/tech solutions where possible; * providing a robust assurance, practical advice and ongoing support on board content and governance matters; and * acting as gatekeeper and liaison between the corporate boards, the rest of the ING organisation and its stakeholders, such as regulatory and supervisory bodies. **Roles and responsibilities** Approx 75% of role: Corporate Secretary to various corporate boards, with emphasis on the EB/MBB: * Pro-actively drive the organisation of the board meetings from beginning to end. This includes the drawing up of meeting agendas as well as quality
