What They're Looking For.
Must Have
JD from an accredited law school, active membership in good standing with at least one U. S. state bar, Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, substantive labor and employment law, experience managing litigation or disputes, Pragmatism: Ability to pragmatically weigh legal risks and benefits of complex situations and propose practical solutions, Fast-Paced Environment: Comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment with the attitude that no project is too big or too small, Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to forge relationships at all levels of the organization
Nice to Have
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus, Prior in-house experience with a multinational corporation, law firm experience are preferred, A positive attitude and a sense of humor!
What You'll Do.
Provide pragmatic employment advice for the Americas region on a wide range of employment issues
disability accommodations
HR policies and procedures
performance management
Manage and resolve employment-related disputes
governmental agency actions
and routine employment litigation matters.
Manage responses to demand letters
statutory requests for information
and requests from government and law enforcement agencies.
and enforce employment-related agreements
and separation agreements.
Conduct periodic reviews and audits of employment-related policies and processes to ensure regional compliance.
Build and implement scalable
compliant employment policies and programs for a rapidly growing company.
Monitor changes and updates to employment laws and governmental agency enforcement priorities
and advise stakeholders of developments that may affect Snowflake.
and Finance on issues related to global mobility
accruals of severance
and notice obligations.
Prepare and deliver training
in coordination with HR
on employment law topics for managers and business leaders.
Assist with special projects
and other duties as assigned to support the Legal team’s mission.

Team & Collaboration
Partner with teams across Snowflake to provide pragmatic employment advice and manage litigation and dispute matters for our operations in the Americas.; Partner with HR, Payroll, and Finance on issues related to global mobility, accruals of severance, and notice obligations.; Prepare and deliver training, in coordination with HR, on employment law topics for managers and business leaders.
