Troubleshooting all testing and QC problems
Night shift - 10 PM - 8 AM, 7 on / 7 off schedule, Works in a fast-paced clinical environment., Works in an area which contains biohazardous (infectious) materials along with chemical, fire, and mechanical hazards., Duties may involve standing, walking, stretching, stooping, bending, and lifting light (20 pound) to moderately heavy (50 pound) loads., Must be able to use visual acuity to see monitor screen, computer, and hard copy materials., Must be able to hear and verbally communicate in person and over the phone or radio., Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (up to 2 hours).

Must Have
Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT, AAB (AAB with 15yrs. experience), NCA, HHS certification or equivalent., If registry eligible all newly hired technical staff must pass an approved certification exam within twelve (12) months of placement in this occupational classification., High School or GED Diploma Graduate.

What You'll Do.
Performs laboratory analysis on received specimens

Responsible for overall quality
and safety in the performance of assigned technical duties.

maintains an adequate supply of materials for test procedures and manages inventory to effectively reduce departmental waste/expense.
Assists in specimen collection as necessary and carries out measures to ensure chemical and biohazardous safety.
Submits supply requests for weekly and monthly orders as assigned.
Helps maintain appropriate supply inventory/restocks workstation.
Assists in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Supports and maintains a positive work environment following lab and hospital procedures.
Maintains confidentiality.
Communicates effectively with peers.
Demonstrates principles of Operation Excellence when dealing with other departments.
Adapts a change and modifies work schedule or assignment as needed to benefit department.
