What You'll Do.

Maintain and implement exposure reduction strategies

Participate in health and safety programs

Conduct workplace hazard assessments

Conduct worker and workplace occupational hygiene sampling

Maintain inventory of hygiene sampling equipment

Manage day-to-day aspects of occupational hygiene programs

Record and report sampling results

Recommend control measures

Provide mentorship to employees

Provide technical training to employees

Provide informational presentations to employees

Improve employee knowledge of concerns

Improve management awareness of concerns

Implement exposure controls through Exposure Treatment Plan

Reduce risk to high risk hazards

Maintain constructive relationship with regulatory agencies

Keep informed on new developments

About the role: Reporting to the Lead Occupational Hygienist, the Coordinator, Health and Hygiene is responsible for maintaining and implementing exposure reduction strategies as a part of the Occupational Health and Hygiene program at our Fording River Operations. To be successful, we are looking for someone with outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, who can influence partners at all levels and areas of the organization. The successful candidate has strong problem-solving abilities, who can prioritize workloads, and keep organized and accurate records. We also require someone who is analytical and adaptable, with a passion for continuous improvement.
