The Data Centre Cooling Engineer will be responsible for the commissioning of HVAC and cooling systems within data centres. This role involves ensuring that cooling systems are installed and operating in accordance with project specifications, performance requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, cooling technologies, and their application in high-performance data centre environments. ## Qualifications Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field or related trade qualifications. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commissioning HVAC or cooling systems, preferably within a data centre environment. Proven experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting complex cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, air distribution systems, CRAC/CRAH & CDU’s etc.). Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data centre cooling systems, including precision cooling, chilled water systems, and DX systems. Familiarity with control systems, BMS (Building Management Systems), and monitoring tools used in HVAC systems. Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (ASHRAE, ISO, etc.). Certifications: Commissioning certifications such as ASHRAE CxA (Commissioning Process Management Professional) or HVACR-related certifications are advantageous Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
