Nice to Have
High school educational courses in food management and production, Culinary degree and background
What You'll Do.
Prepare food for inmate population
Prepare nutritionally balanced menus
Prepare meals for inmates on special diets
Maintain log books and diet logs
Substitute nutritionally-like foods
Prepare side dishes and entrées
Assist in tray and food service
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen appliances
Maintain records regarding dietary allowances
Supervise storage of foods
Train inmates assigned to kitchen
Supervise inmates assigned to kitchen
Monitor knives and cooking utensils
Communicate supply needs
Requisition supplies from warehouse/vendors
Maintain personal hygiene
Perform related duties
